OPET's Annual Meeting July 26, 2005

Presentation:
A panel discussion on the Long Term Management Options for Trunk River and Oyster Pond

Invited speakers included:
Dr. Brian Howes, Estuarine Project, John Ramsey, coastal engineer, Jennifer MacKay, Falmouth Conservation Commission, George Calise, Falmouth Engineering Department, Chuck Martinson, Falmouth Herring Warden, and Jo Ann Muramoto, Coastal Resource Committee.
Discussion will include ongoing issues related to the health of Oyster Pond, including the dredging of Trunk River to keep it open to the sea, seasonal growth of Cladophora algae in the pond, and the prevention of seaweed inflow from the ocean by installing a seasonal removable trap gate.

The Woods Hole Research Center, 149 Woods Hole Road, Falmouth, MA.
A short business meeting with a review and report on OPET's past year's activities and vote on new board members.
