State Qualifier Race
Description
Located in the center of New Jersey, halfway between New York and Philadelphia, the New Jersey State Triathlon is one of the Mid-Atlantic Region's "must do" races.
Set in beautiful Mercer County Park the race features a swim in the calm waters of Mercer Lake. Because of its calm waters, Mercer Lake was recently chosen as the site for the World Masters Regatta and the US Scholastic Regatta Championships.
The Bike course will be a flat and fast loop around the park that will take the athlete from the suburban park setting through a golf course, farmland and college campuses. Keep an eye out for deer, fox and horses along the way.
The run course is totally contained within the park and will be predominately shaded on a paved running surface. The race will be spectator friendly allowing fans to see the participants a number of times throughout the race. The finish will allow fans to line the last half mile creating an inspiring "finish chute" for all participants.
Those participants traveling in may want to chose one our preferred host hotels in the famous and beautiful Princeton area, home of Princeton University. Participants may venture to historic Trenton (the New Jersey State Capitol), Washington's Crossing National Park (the scene of Washington's famous Delaware River Crossing), Princeton Battlefield, Philadelphia (30 minutes south) or New York City (45 minutes north).
